Define what a room update includes
If you are starting with one or two rooms, list each surface separately. Walls, ceilings, baseboards, window trim and doors may need different products or preparation. Include adjoining hallway edges or open-plan areas so the stopping points are clear.
Think about the finish next to the newly painted area. Keeping an existing ceiling or trim color may be the right choice, but it should be a deliberate part of the plan. Samples can help you compare the new color in the room's actual light.
Include preparation in a smaller project
A small area can still need careful preparation. Identify nail holes, damaged corners, worn trim and other concerns in your request. Ask which repairs are included and whether any surface issue needs a separate scope before painting.
For exterior work, describe the exact elevations or features you want included. A door-and-trim project should clearly identify the doors, frames and other details so the estimate reflects the same work you have in mind.
Plan access and room readiness
Share whether the property will be occupied and which rooms must remain available. Discuss furniture movement, wall items, pets and access to the work area. These details should be settled before the agreed start.
- Send photos of the full area and close views of damage.
- List the surfaces to paint and those to leave unchanged.
- Identify color changes and finish preferences.
- Include preferred timing and any access limits.
Request a Falcon Heights estimate
Use the inquiry form to describe your project and location. The next step may include more questions or a property review. A written proposal should confirm the preparation, included surfaces, products, price and project terms.
