Describe the work you want priced
List the rooms, cabinets or exterior surfaces you want included. Separate walls, ceilings, trim, doors and specialty surfaces where possible. This helps avoid a proposal that leaves out an area you expected to have painted.
Include the condition of the existing finish. Peeling coatings, stains, damaged drywall and worn wood may change the preparation needed. A few clear photos and approximate dimensions can make the initial discussion more useful.
- Property city and address for project planning.
- Service type and a list of included surfaces.
- Approximate room sizes or exterior dimensions.
- Known repairs or difficult-to-reach areas.
- Preferred timing, access limits and occupancy.
Choose finishes with the whole project in mind
Tell us if you have selected colors or want to compare options. Include the finish you want on trim, cabinets or other details, and note surfaces that should stay the same. Final product and color decisions should be confirmed before application.
For commercial or shared properties, identify the person who can approve the proposal and arrange access. Tell us about any required project documents or building procedures during the first discussion.
Review the proposal before work begins
An inquiry is the start of a conversation, not a confirmed price or booking. A site review or additional information may be needed. The written proposal should explain the work, preparation, products, exclusions, price and agreed schedule.
Ask about any item you do not understand before accepting. Keeping the scope clear helps everyone plan the work and discuss changes if new conditions are found.
